My younger sister Caeley has decided to go on a 2 1/2 month mission trip to China this summer. She will be spending one month as an intern at the foster home that our older sister works at. The children there are very close to all of us, including Thomas, for he spent 2 years living with many of them. I myself have met several of the kids, and I would bring so many of them home if I could. After her month at Shepherd's Field, Caels will be spending a month or so near her other big sister, working at the camp that have captivated so many of us. There she will not only be connecting with bunches of kiddos that need her love, but also many college-aged young translators, who need to hear of God's love. In this way she can help not one, but two generations, with the Love of God.
Here comes the kicker: Caels feels this is the Lord's desire for her life this summer, and she has been working her tail feathers off to earn the money needed for this trip. See, mission trips are expensive. Not only are there plane tickets, train tickets, cab money, visa fees, and money for food, there is a fee to volunteer at each place she is going. There is also money needed for supplies and emergencies. So, she works, often 6 or 7 days a week. I so wish I could help support her, but as a recovering student, I'm often being supported myself, by friends and family. That is why I am asking you to help her out.
Before you make up your mind, remember this, you clicked on this link to read more about some dog you've never seen before. I would never ask anyone to give money outside the will of God. All I ask is that you ask Him if this is a cause He is asking you to help.
