Boy could she sing! She loved singing all the camp songs, complete with actions. She also enjoyed showing off her singing ability with a more traditional song.
On our last night together, I gave a her a little stuffed dog. I told her it was hers to take care of, she had to make sure it slept, it was fed, and that it was loved. She set it beside her in the bed and tucked it in under the covers. It was so cute.
Her special need is Cerebral Palsy. But what she does despite her disability, is quite amazing. She doesn't need help with most daily tasks. She walks on her own, brushes her hair and teeth, dresses, puts on her shoes, eats on her own. And she wants to do it on her own. Her hands might not work the way she wants them to, she gets her deed done. She doesn't get frustrated. She doesn't get upset that it's not easy. She just keeps on smiling.
This sweet young girl needs a family. Every child deserves to know the love of a Dad and Mom, the stability of a home. Do you know a family that is missing a piece? A family that has a Jianna sized hole? Will you help me find Jianna a family?
